In 1959, the British novelist and scientist Charles Pearcy Snow was concerned with the problem of “the Two Cultures” – that of the literary intellectual and that of the (natural) scientist. Snow argued that practitioners of either of the two cultures know little, if anything, about the other and that communication is difficult, if at all possible.
