MSc, PhD natural sciences, Journalist (higher national diploma in journalism), member of the Danish Science Journalists Association

Since March 2013, I work professionally as project manager at the House of Natural Sciences in Bjerringbro, Denmark. Here, I facilitate motivating science teaching by means of project management, financial responsibility for development projects, development of novel science teaching (secondary and primary school), participation in development projects within school-enterprise cooperation, and implementation of in-house educational science programs.

Previously, I have been communications officer at Hospital Central Unit Viborg with the special assignment of communicating the progress and development of a large regional building project  at HospitalsenhedMidt. Before that, I worked as informations officer at the International Centre for Research in Organic Food and Farming, ICROFS. Research communication was the overall keyword of my tasks.   • Producing newsletters (gathering content, writing articles/news, layout set-up of ICROFS news, ICROFS nyt and CERTCOST news)

I was secretary of ICROFS’ Programme Committee in the period 2008-2010.

Previous professional experience

I have been employed as “creative idea developer & innovation- and inventions consultant” at the Danish Technological Institute, PhD scholar at the Department of Science Studies, Universities of Aarhus and Chicago, post.doc in university pedagogy and science communication for the Natural Sciences Faculty, University of Aarhus, physics teacher in Viborg and self-employed free-lance communication consultant and copy writer.

Educational background

I am trained as a physicist from the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, I have a PhD in natural sciences (science studies), University of Aarhus, and got a higher journalism diploma from the Danish School of Media and Journalism, 2007-2008. I took up my office with ICROFS in June 2008.
